Digital assets

The most volatile segment of the market, and the worst played. Measured exposure, concentrated on what can be sold without moving the market. Never a token you cannot get out of.

International equities

A small number of defensible positions, in developed markets, held over time. No index: holding everything means also holding what you have not understood.

Precious metals

Gold produces nothing, and that is its purpose. It holds when real rates fall, when the currency weakens, when everything else falls together.

Commodities

Energy and industrial metals follow real cycles, production, inventories, supply, rather than market expectations. A diversification equities do not provide.

The mandate

  • AccessEvery file is reviewed before it is accepted. What counts is not the amount but the coherence: a workable horizon, sums you can tie up without thinking about them, an objective reachable by something other than luck. The framework is discussed at the first meeting.
  • FeesAn audit fee, a management fee on assets, and a performance fee based on the portfolio's actual progression. That last point aligns our interests with yours: we are paid on performance only when there is performance. Exact rates are set out in the agreement and disclosed before any commitment, with no hidden entry or exit charges.
  • Follow-upThree formal reviews a year: the portfolio, the positions, and any drift from the mandate. Each produces a written record of the decisions taken and the reasoning behind them. Between those meetings you are notified of any significant adjustment, and can reach us at any time. Three substantial conversations are worth more than twelve automated statements nobody reads.
